Final Changes to the WIC Food Packages for Moms
What are the changes to the food packages?
WIC makes changes to the food packages it provides to improve how the program supports your nutritional needs. The final changes are published in the WIC Food Package Final Rule and provide you with not only more foods, but more variety, more choice, and more flexibility.
What's in the food package you receive varies based on how much you breastfeed your baby and if you receive formula from WIC.
There are four food packages for women:

Fully Breastfeeding

Partially (Mostly) Breastfeeding

Postpartum
As part of the changes, partially (mostly) breastfeeding participants will get higher amounts of some foods than before to support their nutritional needs. For partially breastfed infants and new mothers trying to establish breastfeeding, WIC can provide up to 364 fluid ounces of infant formula in the first month.
